Detroit Tigers

In case no one has noticed, the Tigers pitching staff as a whole has been tremendous to this point in the season.  Aside from Gallaragas last 2 starts, even the suspected weak link in the bullpen has been excellent(although a lot of that may have something to do with limited Lyon sightings).  So far  the whole staff has easily outperformed expectations.

Well it seems as though the "Devil" in Devil Rays has officially been exorcised.  The Rays win their first playoff game in franchise history on the shoulders of rookie Evan Longoria.

I was really excited coming into this baseball season - the Detroit Tigers were perhaps one of the most hyped teams entering the season.  The trade for Miguel Cabrera was supposed to be huge and the Tigers had made several other offseason acquisitions geared towards giving the team the offensive push to be a real contender.  Then the season opened... opened to a sweep by the Kansas City Royals.
