Preview to Detroit Lions @San Fransisco 49ers

This game will be no where near the 19-13 score we saw in 2006. These defenses are soft. The Lions have already given up 70 points on defenses and the 49ers have surrendered 47. Not good numbers compared to the rest of the league.

The run game in this  one will be interesting. The 49ers have an established back that can tear apart a team. In 2006, Frank Gore rushed for 159 yards and a touchdown, tore us up. Judging on the first two games with the career day Turner had, I don't see the Lions slowing Gore down, I look for 135 yards and a TD.

This game could be a great time for rookie Kevin Smith's coming out party. I think the Lions D will get on their feet early in this game and force some 3 and outs and this will give the Lions a chance to run the ball a few times (something they couldn't do in the last couple of games). I'm seeing 120 all purpose and a TD

I believe that this game wil be won through the air. JT O'Sullivan has looked alright so far with his two receivers in Bryant Johnson and Issac Bruce. They connected very well in the 33-30 win against Seattle. Look for O'Sullivan to throw for 250 yards 2 TD's and a INT.

The 49ers will not be able to keep up with the Lions receivers in this one and that will be a big difference. The size of Clavin Johnson and Roy Williams will also be seen more in this one. I say Kitna has a feild day with this defense and goes for 325 yards and 3 TD's with an interception.

Outcome: Detroit Lions finally break the ice and get the win over the 49ers, 31-24.
