Assuming the year goes as is... posted on 09/25/2008

My hopes after this dreaded of a season is over is the Lions get the number 1 overal pick in the 2009 draft and i think they to attack the QB position this draft.

This position has been a broke one for a long time and i dont think we can live much longer with Kitna and lets face it theres a lot of talent at the Qb position in this upcoming draft. We have to attack the position no matter what round.

With the first overal pick in this years draft I think they need to go with George Selvie DE out of South Florida or Micheal Johnson DT out of Georgia Tech. Either one of those guys would give us a Simeon Rice or a Robert Porcher on the line and thats what we need. I mean c'mon Matt Ryan, Aaron Rodgers and JT O'Sullivan all scorched us. What do those guys have in common. All of them are spending their first year starting, way to go Lions.

A day in history for the Lions posted on 09/24/2008

So all it took was a little convincing from Ford's son to get the crack job of a NFL team president out of office. This day will go down in history. The terrible era is finally over and now the Lions can possible jump out of the hole this guy has put us in.

I really dont even believe it yet but he is finally gone. I dont even know what to say other than thank God.

Now comes the question on who we put in there to replace him. I think theres only one person for the job that we can trust and already is an icon in Detroit. Kwame Kilpatrick. Just kidding everyone. I say we offer Barry Sanders the job. Even though he left early to be with his family I think its time to bring number 20 back. Give him complete control of the team.

Regardless on who we put in this is an amazing day in Lions history and everyone can take a deep breath. To bad it came 2 years to late.

Preview to Detroit Lions @San Fransisco 49ers posted on 09/18/2008

This game will be no where near the 19-13 score we saw in 2006. These defenses are soft. The Lions have already given up 70 points on defenses and the 49ers have surrendered 47. Not good numbers compared to the rest of the league.

The run game in this  one will be interesting. The 49ers have an established back that can tear apart a team. In 2006, Frank Gore rushed for 159 yards and a touchdown, tore us up. Judging on the first two games with the career day Turner had, I don't see the Lions slowing Gore down, I look for 135 yards and a TD.

This game could be a great time for rookie Kevin Smith's coming out party. I think the Lions D will get on their feet early in this game and force some 3 and outs and this will give the Lions a chance to run the ball a few times (something they couldn't do in the last couple of games). I'm seeing 120 all purpose and a TD

After two weeks, what are your superbowl predictions? posted on 09/17/2008

I have to go with, based on these two weeks alone, The Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers.

Jay Cutler looks great and ready to lead that team and Carolina beat two good teams as the last few seconds ticked and can only get better with Steve Smith back.

Now you cant tell me Denver and Carolina wouldn't make one hell of a Superbowl game.

Is this rumor a joke?! posted on 09/17/2008

What in Gods name are the Lions doing working out with Shawn Alexander, Cedric Benson, and Vernand Morency. Do you think if the rest of the league thought these players had talent left they would swoop em up. And if your shopping for a RB why draft Kevin Smith and why sign Rudi Johnson at the moment he was dropped by Cincinnati.

Just another thing that Matt Millen does so "well." Shouldn't you be out looking for a QB for the future, or something to help the defense. No lets go get another RB, the position we already threw so much money in. Wonderful

Oooo and by the way the running back that has reportably already signed is Cedric Benson. At least he is prolly the best of the three bums in the crowd. And we know he can drink and drive with the DUI's he received over the offseason.
